Summary
An Instagram post from the verified fan account miagoth_ displayed an AI-generated image purporting to show actress Mia Goth wearing a T-shirt reading “MY EX IS MY BIGGEST FAN.” The image — paired with the song “Single Ladies” — spread widely on Instagram and other platforms, garnering hundreds of thousands of likes and coverage from outlets such as OK! and People.
Goth’s representatives told The Verge the image was counterfeit and that Goth does not use social media; they said they filed multiple complaints with Instagram to remove the account. The Verge notes Meta’s policy does not require AI labels for still images, and the miagoth_ account appeared to have been removed from Instagram as of Tuesday morning.
