Summary

A post on X by @Ally_Sammarco on Oct. 14, 2026 circulated a photo purportedly showing a woman wearing a “Release the Epstein files” shirt being punched by Trump supporters. Lead Stories ran the image through OpenAI’s verification tool, which detected a SynthID watermark indicating OpenAI-generated content, and the Hive Moderation AI-Generated Content Detection tool rated the image 96.5% “Likely to be AI-Generated.”

The article notes the fabricated image closely resembled a real October 12, 2026 Trump rally in Youngstown, Ohio, but news photos from that event show a different woman with different facial features and clothing (glasses and a green-and-blue plaid shirt over the T-shirt).
